Created by Hong Kong sculptor Aries Lee, Mingle of Shapes explores the

relationship among movement, space and human connection. Its flowing

abstract forms continuously transform as viewers move around the sculpture,

revealing new spatial relationships and visual rhythms from every angle.

 

Installed in an international airport, the work reflects Hong Kong's role as an

international crossroads where people, cultures and ideas meet. Rather than

offering a single interpretation, the sculpture encourages viewers to

discover their own personal meanings through movement and observation. It

celebrates openness, diversity and harmony, reminding us that every journey creates new encounters and new perspectives.

 

《形之交融》由香港雕塑家李福華創作，以抽象雕塑語言探索動態、空間及人

與人之間的連結。作品隨着觀者移動，不斷展現不同形態與空間關係，每一

個角度都呈現嶄新的視覺節奏與體驗。

 

作品設於國際機場，象徵香港作為世界樞紐，匯聚不同旅人、文化與思想。作品沒有固定的詮釋，邀請觀者以不同角度與步伐，發現屬於自己的理解與感受，並在交流之中體會多元共融與和諧之美。

 

Artist & Legacy｜藝術家與創作歷程

 

Aries Lee is a Hong Kong sculptor whose work explores the meeting of Chinese

philosophical thought and Western abstract sculpture. His artistic language reflects a

lifelong engagement with balance, movement and spatial dialogue.

 

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lee studied at Tokyo University of Fine Arts before

completing a Master of Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in Germany.

During the 1970s and 1980s, he taught at The Chinese University of Hong Kong,

contributing to the development of art education and inspiring a generation of young

Artists.

 

In 1988, Lee won an anonymous government competition to create three

landmark sculptures for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The

works were unveiled in 1989 at the opening ceremony attended by Princess Diana

and remain important symbols of Hong Kong's public art.

 

His sculptures have been installed in Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai and Los

Angeles, and are included in collections such as the Hong Kong Museum of Art. In

2008, he also received recognition in the Beijing Olympic Sculpture Competition.

Known for their shifting perspectives, Lee's sculptures invite viewers to experience

an evolving dialogue between form, space and movement.

 

李福華為香港著名雕塑家，其創作融合中國哲學思想與西方現代抽象雕塑語言，形成

獨特而富動感的藝術風格，作品常探討平衡、動態與空間的關係。

 

出生及成長於香港，他先後畢業於日本東京藝術大學及德國杜塞爾多夫藝術學院

，1970至1980年代任教於香港中文大學，積極參與藝術教育工作，培育新一代藝術人

才。

 

1988年，他於香港政府舉辦的不記名公開雕塑設計比賽中脫穎而出，一舉奪得香港會

議展覽中心三件地標雕塑委約，作品於1989年香港會展中心開幕典禮由英國戴安娜王

妃揭幕，成為香港公共藝術的重要象徵。

 

李福華的雕塑作品遍佈香港、澳門、上海及洛杉磯，並獲香港藝術館等藝術機構收藏

；2008年亦於北京奧運雕塑比賽中獲得獎項。其作品以多角度觀看時呈現不同空間關

係與視覺節奏見稱，鼓勵觀者在移動與觀賞之間感受雕塑、空間與光影的互動。
